80km qualifications for Raffeah and Naseebah
One down, one to go for two of our mares on their way to Open status.
From left, Raffeah (Lyn), Naseebah (Kimberley) and Kassanova (Robin) coming in from the second loop at Sandy Point.
Aurora Raffeah and Naseebah completed their first 80km qualifying ride of the season at the weekend, completing the distance at Sandy Point with Lyn and Kimberley riding. It was also the riders' first 80km ride.
Kassanova had had less work in the lead-up to the ride, on December 20, so was entered for the elevator ride, completing 64km with Robin.
All had good heart rates with short lag times - mind you, no-one was hanging around in the rain! It rained for the whole of the second loop of 33km, and on and off for the rest of the day.
All three have recovered well and are enjoying a few days off before starting preparations for the next ride, in January. Our rider, Celeste Holland has also started working Mystique toward this ride.
